Piece VII - This piece continues my exploration of repetition, texture, and tonal variation through hundreds of individually hand-painted forms layered across a vertical canvas. Built in soft blush, terracotta, clay, and warm neutral tones, the composition creates a sense of movement and depth while maintaining a calm, organic presence.
Inspired by natural stone surfaces and weathered earth tones, each painted mark contributes to a larger field of subtle variation and rhythm. Areas of cold-paint detailing have been incorporated throughout the surface, introducing additional texture and dimension that catch and reflect light differently as the piece is viewed from different angles.
The artwork extends beyond the front surface, with the painted forms continuing around the sides of the canvas. This detail allows the piece to be displayed unframed while creating a sculptural, three-dimensional effect that enhances its presence within a space.
Designed as a statement piece, its vertical format is ideal for narrow walls, entryways, alcoves, and layered interior settings where texture and warmth can take center stage.
